Basement Waterproofing

If you live in one of the many damp parts of the country, you've no
doubt noticed the harm that basement moisture can cause. Excess
dampness give your basement a dank feel, encourages the growth of
mold, and damages anything you have stored in there. If you have a
real problem with moisture, you might even experience periodic
flooding in heavy rain storms and such.

The solution to this problem is basement waterproofing. By
redirecting water away from your basement, and sealing any places
water can leak inside, you can greatly improve the moisture resistance
of your basement. However, doing this properly takes quite a bit of
work, so you might want to consider hiring a contractor to do the job
for you. If you choose to go the do it yourself route, just make sure
that you are as thorough as possible, since the tiniest leak can still
cause major problems. Best of luck in your quest to make your
basement moisture free.
